Lauryn Goodman Suffers from Mastitis
Lauryn Goodman took to Instagram to reveal she was suffering terribly from mastitis.
Mastitis is very common while breastfeeding and one month after her little one arrived, Lauryn got a terrible case of it. She took to Instagram to ask her 85k followers for help.
Lauryn had said that is got so bad to the point where she couldn’t even lift her arm up and she had found a lump as well. She had tried several different things to ease the pain such as pumping, feeding, a hot bath and massaging the area. Lauryn immediately contacted her GP as she feared it would get much worse, but hadn’t heard back when she was asking her followers for advice.

What is Mastitis?
Mastitis occurs when a milk duct becomes blocked in the breast. Symptoms include, sore breasts, lump, red marks, inflammation, flu like symptoms.
How to Treat Mastitis?
Contact your GP if symptoms don’t improve or get worse. If it is mastitis you might need to go on antibiotics. Here are some at home remedies which can help.
- Hot compress
- Bath
- Massage the area
- Breastfeeding
- Pumping
